WINE: is an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting grapes. Technically, wine can be made with any type of fruit, but most wine is made with grapes.

WINE GRAPES: are different to grapes tyically bought in supermarkets. They are smaller and much sweeter, contain seeds, and have thicker skins. These characteristics have been proven to be better for making wine.

WINE VARIETIES: there are thousands of different wine varaties and most are cultivated from one species of grapevine: Vitis vinifera.
